Camera Movements


Pan - Rotating the camera either sideways or vertically to show a wide shot whilst not moving the camera.



Zoom - Zooming into a person or object to usually intensify the scene or show somethings significance.


Crane - Zooming out on a large scale to give an overview of an area or to show the insignificance of an object/person.


Track/Dolly - Used to get a wide view of whats going on in the scene or to follow someone.



Track In/Back - Used to get a wide view of whats going on in the scene or to follow someone.

TRAILER LINK STATEMENT OF INTENT My film is unique due to disability not being a highly used theme in the film industry.  My film has many aspects that appeal to all audiences. For example, to appeal to male audiences it has the element of disaster within the car crash scene. Also, it applies to females due to the main character being a female dancer. Lastly, young people would want to see my film due to the coming of age element of it, and how they can relate to it.  Sophistication in sound is shown by adding homo-diegetic sound in the form of a voiceover. This is then followed by the diegetic sound of the car skidding and crashing into the other. Non-diegetic sound then comes in as the sound of the thunder is heard only by the audience not the characters. Intertextuality in Music Videos What is intertextuality? It is an idea that any text has been influenced and shaped by texts that have come before it. (anything read or seen in the case of movies) Therefore no film exists on its own and consciously or not all films borrow ideas from other films, past or present. Nothing exists on its own. To the right is an example of this. Who is intertextuality important to? writers directors audience Family guy and The Simpsons are two TV programs that like to use intertextuality. But they use it in a more comedic way to gain humour from their audiences.
