Sound Types


Diegetic Sound - A natural sound that can be created in the scene, e.g. people speaking, the wind, water.


Non-diegetic - An un-natural sound that cant be created in the scene, e.g. a voiceover, background music.


Contrapuntal - Music that is opposite to the mood in the scene to emphasise the mood even more.
